YHL Upgrades Helicopter Flight Tracking to TracPlus
YHL to increase aircraft safety by switching over to TracPlus Cloud tracking with dual Iridium satellite & cellular capability.
When Covid-19 precautions started affecting operations in the Spring of 2020, Yellowhead Helicopters with the help of Avio Design Group worked on developing a barrier for the cabin of the AStar AS350 and Bell 206/212 helicopters. The design’s supplemental type certificate (STC SH20-26) was approved by Transport Canada in the summer and since then has been installed in active aircraft in the YHL fleet.
On top of the health protocols we already practice – temperature checks, wearing masks inside the aircraft, disinfecting/cleaning, and social distancing whenever possible – the barrier further reduces the risk of virus transmission between clients and flight crew.
