Prince George, BC – The First Nations Health Authority (FNHA) has partnered with Yellowhead Helicopters to get vital vaccine doses to remote communities under difficult conditions to protect these communities from the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Yellowhead pilots have safely delivered vaccines throughout northern BC to communities including Fort Nelson, Takla, and Gitanmaax during the first dose clinics and are standing by again as second dose clinics are already underway in some communities.
“Yellowhead Helicopters has been a strong and reliable partner in the safe and timely delivery of vaccines to our communities. They show with their actions that they care,” said Julie Morrison, Acting Executive Director of the First Nations Health Authority’s Northern Region.
“We think the health and wellbeing of the communities we serve is paramount,” said Jacob Forman, CEO. “And the quicker we can get the vaccines out, the quicker we can return to normal, whatever that looks like.”
To show its belief in our communities, Yellowhead has joined with the FNHA, to help deliver the vaccine throughout the north at a reduced tariff rate.
